JCCS 2011: Part I

7th Annual Japanese Classic Car Show 2011
Long Beach, California
Saturday September 10, 2011

Main things in life do not change. The love for modifying cars is still strong. The push to accel and develop, the devotion, the desire - limitless. Every year, there is progression. The cars evolve. Extraordinary events occur. This year is just like the last, some new and adventurous beginnings, some old and love-caring. No matter what direction is chosen, the dedication is always there.

The progression of builds, and the quality of them, constantly begs for attention. It is nice to see some cars being developed over these past few years. This show brings out the best of the Japanese classics in SoCal. The amount of motor swaps being done is constantly rising as well. It's nice to see that most of the enthusiasts, who are pure-at-heart, would build and stuff a mean gas-guzzling motor into a light, spirited classic car to keep the driving experience as pure as possible.

When I arrived and found parking, I noticed that there were so many nice cars in the parking lot; however, I could not get to see them all in time. A few Toyota supras were parked nearby, so I had to take some pictures.

This Celica was super clean! It has a pair of Honda S2000 seats as well as the motor swap.

Look at the size of this turbo on this drag Corolla.

WOW! How about this one?!

Toyota HiLux trucks are decently rare.

The L-Series motors are very capable of developing some serious power. Some owners keep in-touch with the pure raw carburated power.

Part II and III to follow soon.
