Deeds Not Words!!!
So you think you can STANCE? Sunday, January 22, 2012 Quite a successful event. The first of many fine SoCal events. This was definitely a different type of event. An eventful, awesome competition. ItsJDMyO! created this event with sponsorship through Falken Tires and VIP Modular Wheels. Falken Tires offered the 1st place winner 50% off of a set of tires. VIP Modular Wheels was offering 2nd place winner 30% off a set of wheels. What was this event about? ItsJDMyO! was testing the SoCal region to see whether we can stance, and do so properly. Not just stance, but also driving skills. The rules were not very clear. If they were, it could have been crazier. The competition had to be cut short due to safety concerns. What was involved? Many awesome spectators surrounding the entrance way of Trendy Threadz' facility in Sante Fe Springs, CA. Driving? It was quite simple. Drive the car in and drive it back out; so you must be wondering, "what was so hard?" The entry was cut short, narrowed, and so was the exit. The rules were quite simple too. Make the audience wow over you with style and grace. Many drivers thought this competition was about whoever could actually make it up the driveway and back out of it, but in actuality, it was about style and grace. The hardest part, no reversing! Food Trucks Pogi Boy, Waffles de Liege, and California Grill Truck served all types of good foods to eat. NOS Energy sponsored this event as well, and supplied free drinks as well as beautiful models. DJ Johnny Fresh was under a canopy spinning some fresh and old-school beats, definitely keeping this event fun and entertaining. Antonio from MotorMavens was the commentator of the event and competition. Judging was definitely hard. It was hard to get these guys to give you some high scores. They drive dope cars and are surrounded by the best everyday, so they have high expectations of the contestants. Hell, they could compete if they wished to as well, but they were judges. They were judging Olympic style with a maximum combined score of 40 points. JUDGES: Yogi from Fatlace, Noel from Canibeat, and our very own Keychain. Team Praxis had two of their dope rides under the VIP Modular tent. Here's a few of Team Infinit rides. Mr. Clean Promotions brought with him two lovely models to share with us for this event. There were some spectacular Gs in attendance. A few dope BMWs came by. Team Low N' Slow brought out a few of their cars as well. JSP Fabrications had a few cars displayed. VIP!!!
